Dimora delle Balze, Sicily

September 10 - 13, 2027

WHAT WE UNDERSTOOD

You are marrying in Sicily across four days next September. A dinner in Noto on the tenth, the wedding day at Dimora delle Balze on the eleventh, and a few hours by the sea on the thirteenth.

The three parts look nothing alike. An evening indoors in town, a full day in the countryside, and the sea in daylight. Three kinds of light, three different paces. We would photograph them as one continuous story rather than three separate days.

- WHAT HAPPENS NEXT-

If this is right, reply to this proposal by typing your message below and we will send the agreement the same day.

Your date is confirmed once it is signed and the deposit is paid.

We photograph around twenty weddings a year. We are holding your date until November 1.

Welcome Dinner:

September 10, 2027

4 hours of coverage

Four hours covers a welcome evening comfortably, from the first arrivals through to the end of the meal. It is the timeframe we have found works best, and we can shift it if your evening runs differently.

Two photographers

One of us stays with you. The other moves through the evening, photographing your guests as they arrive and settle in.

Portrait session

A short set of the two of you, usually as the light goes.

The evening before is often the most relaxed you will be all weekend. It tends to show in the pictures, and these are frequently the ones couples choose to print.

Drone coverage

A few frames from above, to place the evening in its setting. They show where you all were, not only who was there.

Wedding day:

September 11, 2027

Full Day coverage

Twelve hours covers a wedding day from getting ready through to the party. We arrive while hair and make-up are still happening and stay until the dancing is properly underway.

If your day is likely to run longer, we agree that beforehand rather than on the night.

Two photographers

One of us stays focused on you as couple. The other documents what's happening, photographing your guests and capturing candid moments.

Portrait session

Twenty to thirty minutes, usually around sunset.

We take you away from the party briefly. For most couples it is the only quiet time they get alone all day, and they tend to remember it as much as the pictures.

Drone coverage

A few frames from above, of the ceremony and the setting.

Fine Art Album Included

A printed album, designed by us, included rather than sold separately.

brunch:

September 13, 2027

4 hours of coverage

Four hours covers a brunch comfortably, from people arriving through to the goodbyes. It is usually a slower morning than anyone expects, and worth not rushing.

Two photographers

One of us stays with you, the other with your guests. The morning after is the last time everyone is together, and most of what happens is conversation. Two of us means none of it is missed.

Group and Family photographs

The brunch is the natural place for the group photographs nobody wants to do on the wedding day.

Everyone is relaxed, there is no schedule to hold to, and nobody is waiting on a drinks reception.

HOW WE WORK

We photograph as a two-person team, Nonna and Arthur. On the wedding day we are both with you. On the events either side, one of us leads with a trusted second photographer from our team.

We work quietly. No large crew, no directing the room, no interrupting the celebration to stage photographs. Creating a calm atmosphere is one of the most important parts of achieving timeless imagery, and it is the part most couples only notice afterwards.

All post-production is done personally by Nonna. Your gallery is edited as one continuous story, with consistent colour and light throughout, rather than as a collection of individual frames.

Photographing since 2008. Over 300 weddings, each treated as the only one.

WHY PHOTOGRAPHY

In a year the flowers will be a memory, the dinner will be a memory, and the dress will be in a box. The photographs are the only part of the weekend you still hold afterwards. That is not a reason to spend more. It is a reason to be careful about who you choose, because this is the one decision from the celebration that cannot be revisited.

WHAT YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Will it feel like a photoshoot?

No. We spend most of the day out of the way. There is one portrait session, usually twenty to thirty minutes around sunset, and the rest of the time you are with your guests.

We are not comfortable in front of a camera

Almost nobody is, and the couples who say this are usually the ones we most enjoy photographing. We do not pose people into positions. We give a little direction at the start, then let you forget about us.

What if the weather turns?

We have photographed in Italian rain more than once. Your planner will have a plan for the day, and we work to it. In practice the light is better than full midday sun.

When do we see the photographs?

A sneak peek within two weeks. The full gallery follows within four months, edited as one story rather than in batches.
